Expectations for your ADVERTISING FLYER

  • your flyer is the type that could be sent in the mail, hand delivered or left out in a public space

  • it should be an eye catcher that gives the reader some compelling reason to keep it or at least take home and read over thoroughly ...... free coupons?? specials??

Your flyer will be laid out around an 8.5' x 11 ' paper that is folded length or width wise , both sides will be used and we will print on a 2 sides with a special printer.

 

  • it should meet the needs for which it was intended (as stated first in the evaluation sheet)

  • it will have interesting graphics that match the style of your company (need an interesting banner?)

  • it should describe your company or service in an exciting and inviting manner

  • describe your company in words and images

  • what is special about your company why should anyone consider visiting you?

  • are there any special sales going on at the moment?
     

  • PAGE 1(front page) = YOUR BRANDING PAGE where you create an instant visual impression of your company (and hope the viewer does not toss it out!!)
     

  • PAGE 2 + PAGE 3 (inside pages) = use words and images to describe your product and sell it to your viewer the right combo of words and images will work best
     

  • PAGE 4 (back page) = contacts such as fax, phone, e-mail, web address (select a name and do a domain search if you have not already), map (try out MapQuest) free coupons?? specials??

 

  • be sure to get a buddy to edit for grammar and spelling

 

  • ethical considerations should be kept in mind as well as you apply ethical standards in advertising

  • it should be technically correct ..... print out as many proofs as you need to self evaluate your work in progress looks and make corrections
