In this challenge: you will using computers to create an imaginative animationDrawing of the eye

What is animation?

Animation is the simulation of moving art that relies on the human eye's persistence of vision.

When the eye observes an object it detects the image on the retina at the back of the eye. Even when the object is removed it still appears in the mind's eye.

You can try this idea by staring out a window for half a a minute and then closing your eyes ........ you will probably see the image of the window due to persistnece of vision.

Early animations were made using many timed photographs of a moving subject that were then caused to appear to the viewer for a fraction of  a second

The first full feature cartoon animation drawn by hand was by Winsor McCay 1921

Later Walt Disney would industrialize the labour intensive process of animation and make it a Hollywood product.
Along the way he made Mickey Mouse a famous household name.
Disney's techniques relied on the uses of clear celluloid "cells" to separate the image and background to save time.

With the advent of desktop computers teams of animators can now use |"Wire Frame Animation"
to render 3D appearing animations

The Simpsons are produced in America but most of the animation is sourced out to South Korea.
Why?

Animation has the ability to inform viewers in ways that
words cannot do justice.
